Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk dairy or oat/almond
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • marshmallows or whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  • Whisk cocoa, sugar, salt, and 1/2 cup milk in a saucepan until smooth.
  • Add remaining milk; heat over medium, whisking, until steaming (not boiling).
  • Stir in vanilla. Pour into mugs and top as desired.

Notes

Add a square of GF dark chocolate for extra richness.
